Ben Thanh is the largest market in Saigon, but it's not necessarily the best place to find the best deals. Did you know that many vendors in Ben Thanh mark up their prices 100% or more because they know that most tourists have no idea what the “true” price is? Now that there are some “fixed price” areas in Ben Thanh, it’s not as bad as it once was, but for most things you should still bargain for at least a 50% discount. The Saigon Tax Center and Saigon Square 1 & 2 has most of the same things as Ben Thanh but with less of a markup. Always negotiate!! It's expected! For even better deals, let our guides take you to the “real” Vietnamese markets. They aren't as cleaned up for tourists as the popular markets in District 1, but this is where you will really save the big bucks.
Need the best fabric at the lowest price? We'll take you to a street in Cholon where you will be able to find almost any kind of fabric you could ask for. Want to find a good tailor? Let us introduce you to the fabulous tailors we use ourselves. Looking for a nice handmade guitar at an unbelievable price? We'll drive you to luthier street where you can order a custom made guitar designed to your own specifications. Whatever you need, our guides can help you find and get you a much better price than you imagined possible!
The Shopping Spree Tour is 3 hours long, however you can extend it for $15/per person for each additional hour. We recommend booking the "Shopping Spree" tour in the morning when it's not as hot.
Want a cool momento to show off to your friends and family? We have helmet-mounted cameras which we can use to film your ride (for an extra $30) and create a special video of your Vietnam Adventure! We can also mix in a custom music track in your video upon request.
